A commercial sea cucumber diver has died in a diving accident near Alaska's Annette Island. The accident is under investigation by the Coast Guard and Alaska Department of Fish and Game. The diver was working aboard the 68-foot ISLAND DANCER fishing tender near Chester Bay when the diver reportedly surfaced, took off his mask and immediately sank. The diver was rescued by pulling him up by his air hose; however, attempts to revive him failed.
