The bodies of five Alaska claim diggers have been recovered from Cook Inlet. The men were working digging razor clams for Pacific Alaska Shellfish Company, a subsidiary of Pacific Seafood Group headquartered in Clackamas, Oregon. The five men were discovered missing on Tuesday. Three of the bodies were recovered later that day and two more found by a Coast Guard Helicopter crew on Wednesday. Only three of the men were wearing life jackets. The men were reportedly transiting an area near Polly Creek in a 20-foot work skiff. It is unknown what resulted in the men being in the water. An investigation into the accident is pending.
