The 63-foot fishing boat SANDY POINT has collided with a container ship approximately 18 miles off the Mississippi coast near Ship Island. Three crewmen are missing from the SANDY POINT. Eleven crewmen were rescued by a pilot boat, and two crewmen were able to safely make it aboard the container ship. The collision happened in the dark late Wednesday night. The 660-foot container ship EURUS LONDON has been towed from the scene and an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the collision. The Coast guard is continuing to search by sea and air for the three missing crewmen.
