The chartered vessel JACKS OR BETTER CASINO was disabled with 60 people aboard, about 600-yards offshore of Mayport, FL on Monday night, June 13. A call from the operator of the 155-foot vessel came in at 11:44 p.m. for the watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville. The vessel reportedly sustained a loss of propulsion while arriving at Mayport.

Both a commercial tugboat and a Coast Guard Station Mayport rescue boat responded to aid the disabled vessel, which regained propulsion and arrived at Mayport without further trouble.
