A collision between a recreational fishing boat and a gasoline barge in Long Island Sound on Sunday, June 10 left one woman critically injured. The two other occupants of the fishing craft suffered minor injuries, including leg and wrist injuries. The collision occurred about a half mile off Sands Point, and all three victims had to be pulled out of the water by Nassau County police divers.
