Two fishermen were rescued after their boat sank Saturday, June 10 near Provincetown, MA.
The crew of the Sea Princess, a 45-foot fishing vessel based in Green Harbor, MA, radioed for help and abandoned their vessel after finding the engine room to be flooded. By the time the Coast Guard arrived, the two were in a life raft and uninjured. They arrived safely on shore less than an hour after making their distress call to Coast Guard Station Provincetown.
The sinking is under investigation.
A similar incident involving a vessel named Sea Princess took place in April. The Coast Guard late Saturday could not immediately confirm it was the same boat involved in Saturday's sinking.
If you have lost property or been injured because of a sinking such as this one, you may want to consider bringing a maritime claim. Contact experienced maritime lawyers Beard Stacey Trueb & Jacobsen LLP, or visit our website.
