38-year-old William C. Roberts, an employee of Jubilee Fisheries aboard the fishing vessel Zenith, died tragically of Freon gas exposure in April. Roberts was working to fix an apparent gas leak aboard the Zenith when he was rendered unconscious by gas exposure. The Coast Guard attempted to revive Roberts using CPR, but was unsuccessful. The gas exposure was so bad that crewmembers needed to wear protective suits.

William C. Roberts was born in Alaska and resided in the Vancouver, WA area at the time of his death. He leaves behind his wife, Tara, and three young daughters.
