The Coast Guard has reported that it has suspended its search for a missing crewmember from aboard the BELLA ROSE. The BELLA ROSE, a 63 foot trawler, reported that between 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m., Friday, September 11, a crewmember had gone missing and was assumed fallen overboard.

The Coast Guard sent a search and resuce jet and helicopter, the cutter VIGOROUS to search for the missing crewmember and an additional five Good Samartian fishing vessels in area were assisting in the search.

The following day, after having searched approximately 1,330 square miles, the Coast Guard called off the search after not being able to find the crewmember.
